CONTENT ANALYSIS OF SPEAKING ACTIVITIES IN ENGLISH TEXTBOOK BASED ON 2013 CURRICULUM FOR THE FIRST GRADE STUDENTS AT SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

This research is focused on speaking activities in two versions of English Textbooks published by the Government/Kemendikbud and Private Publications/Erlangga based 2013 Curriculum syllabus, this also to find out which books meet good category help student learning activities. very important for academic world make it easier a teacher choose textbook their needs. The method used Content Analysis. researcher analysis matrixes collecting data. first matrix will show suitability with curriculum syllabus. second percentage scores guidelines evaluation. As results data analysis, shows that are accordance "good" “fair” category, has an average 93%(good) textbooks have 73% (fair). In conclusion, both government/Kemendikbud private publishers/Erlangga fair categories students carrying teaching process.
